Quick answer: what changed in TikTok Shop Brazil fees

TikTok Shop Brazil published a seller fee update dated June 12, 2026, with the new structure effective July 15, 2026 at 00:00:00 Brasília Time. The change matters because TikTok Shop Brazil now treats products below R$50 differently from products at or above R$50 after seller discounts.

For product sale price after seller discount below R$50, the commission fee changed from 6% to 10%, while the fee per item sold remains R$4. For product sale price after seller discount at or above R$50, the commission fee remains 6%, while the fee per item sold changed from R$4 to R$6.

The official TikTok Shop Brazil article also explains that these fees are calculated on the item price after seller discounts, but do not include platform discounts. That single detail is important for profit planning: seller-funded discounts can move a product below R$50 and change the commission tier, while platform-funded discounts do not reduce the calculation base in the same way.

New TikTok Shop Brazil fee table for 2026

The planning table is simple but has a sharp margin impact. If the item price after seller discount is less than R$50, use a 10% commission fee plus R$4 per item sold. If the item price after seller discount is R$50 or more, use a 6% commission fee plus R$6 per item sold.

The percentage fee and fixed item fee behave differently. A percentage fee grows with selling price. A fixed item fee hurts low-ticket products more because it consumes a larger share of revenue. For example, R$4 is 10% of a R$40 item before any product cost, shipping, coupons, ads, affiliate commission, or returns are added.

This is why low-price TikTok Shop products need a fresh margin check after the July 2026 change. A product that looked acceptable at 6% commission may become weak at 10% if it also uses vouchers, free shipping subsidy, samples, creator commission, or paid ads.

The TikTok Shop Brazil fee formula sellers should use

A practical fee formula is: TikTok Shop platform fee = item price after seller discount x commission rate + fee per item sold. The commission rate is 10% below R$50 and 6% at or above R$50. The fee per item sold is R$4 below R$50 and R$6 at or above R$50.

A practical profit formula is: net profit = selling price - seller discount - product cost - platform commission fee - fee per item sold - shipping subsidy - affiliate or creator commission - ad cost - sample allowance - return allowance - packaging and handling.

If you pay creators, separate platform fees from creator commission. The TikTok Shop platform commission is not the same as affiliate commission. A seller can pay both on the same order, so a creator-driven campaign needs more margin than an organic order.

Example 1: R$45 product below the R$50 threshold

Suppose a product sells for R$45 after seller discount. Under the updated TikTok Shop Brazil structure, the commission fee is 10% x R$45 = R$4.50. The fee per item sold is R$4. Total platform fee is R$8.50 before product cost, shipping, ads, creator commission, and returns.

That means the platform fee alone is 18.9% of the post-discount selling price. If product cost is R$16, shipping subsidy is R$6, packaging is R$1.50, ad cost is R$4, and return allowance is R$1, total cost becomes R$37.00. Net profit is R$8.00 and net margin is 17.8%.

This product may still work, but the room for error is limited. A R$3 voucher, a higher shipping subsidy, or a 10% creator commission can quickly turn the same order into a very thin margin order.

Example 2: R$75 product at or above the R$50 threshold

Suppose a product sells for R$75 after seller discount. The commission fee is 6% x R$75 = R$4.50. The fee per item sold is R$6. Total platform fee is R$10.50.

The absolute platform fee is higher than the R$45 example, but the effective platform-fee rate is lower: R$10.50 / R$75 = 14.0%. If product cost is R$28, shipping subsidy is R$9, packaging is R$2, ad cost is R$7, and return allowance is R$2, total cost becomes R$58.50. Net profit is R$16.50 and net margin is 22.0%.

This shows the new pricing tension. Low-ticket products may win on conversion, but the fixed R$4 item fee and 10% commission can make them fragile. Higher-ticket products pay a R$6 item fee, but the 6% commission may leave more room for creators and paid traffic if the product has enough gross margin.

Seller discounts can change the fee tier

Because TikTok Shop says the fee calculation is based on the item price after seller discounts, a seller-funded coupon can change which tier applies. A product listed at R$52 with a R$5 seller discount has a post-discount price of R$47, which belongs to the below-R$50 tier. That means 10% commission and R$4 item fee, not the R$50+ structure.

This does not automatically mean discounts are bad. Discounts may improve conversion, ranking, or livestream performance. But discounts should be modeled before launch so the seller knows whether the campaign is a profitable promotion or an intentional acquisition spend.

The safest workflow is to calculate the normal price, the seller-discount price, the affiliate campaign price, and the free-shipping price separately. Do not average them too early; each scenario can have a different fee base and different net margin.

How to protect margin after the July 2026 update

First, rebuild the margin model for every Brazil SKU around the R$50 threshold. Products priced from R$40 to R$55 deserve special attention because a small seller discount can change the fee tier and the effective fee rate.

Second, separate organic orders from creator or affiliate orders. If an organic order has 20% margin but a creator order includes 10% affiliate commission, free shipping, and a voucher, the campaign margin may be very different.

Third, test bundles. A two-item bundle can raise average order value and spread packaging, handling, and fixed fee pressure across more revenue. But bundles only help if the second item has good gross margin and does not increase shipping cost too much.

How SellerMargin Tools fits this update

Use the TikTok Shop Fee Calculator to model the platform commission and per-item fee before you approve a price, voucher, affiliate rate, or free-shipping campaign: /tiktok-shop-fee-calculator

Then use the TikTok Shop profit workflow to add product cost, shipping subsidy, creator commission, ad cost, returns, and packaging. The important output is not only the platform fee. It is the final net profit and net margin after every selling cost.

If the product could also sell on Amazon, Etsy, or Shopify, compare it with the marketplace fee comparison tool: /marketplace-fee-comparison. A product that is too tight on TikTok Shop Brazil may still work on another channel, or it may need a different bundle and price position.

Sources and seller caution

This guide is based on TikTok Shop Brazil Seller Academy information published June 12, 2026 and effective July 15, 2026. Sellers should still verify the latest fee rate in Seller Center because TikTok Shop notes that fee reductions or incentives may apply for limited periods and that commission rates can be amended with notice.

Frequently asked questions

What changed in TikTok Shop Brazil fees on July 15, 2026?

For item price after seller discount below R$50, commission changed from 6% to 10% while the item fee stayed R$4. For R$50 or more, commission stayed 6% while the item fee changed from R$4 to R$6.

Is the TikTok Shop Brazil commission calculated before or after seller discounts?

TikTok Shop says the fees are calculated based on the item price after seller discounts, but not including platform discounts.

Why does the R$50 threshold matter?

Because the commission tier and fixed item fee structure change around that threshold. A seller discount can move a product below R$50 and change the fee model.

Should affiliate commission be included in the same calculator?

Yes, but as a separate line. Platform commission and creator or affiliate commission are different costs and can both apply to a creator-driven order.

Which SellerMargin Tools calculator should I use?

Start with the TikTok Shop Fee Calculator, then add product cost, shipping subsidy, ads, creator commission, discounts, and returns to evaluate net profit.
