Affiliate commission should be treated like a direct selling cost. A 15% creator commission on a product with already-thin margin may leave no room for vouchers, shipping subsidy, or returns.

Before setting commission, calculate the maximum rate that still protects your minimum profit.

Affiliate commission = selling price × commission rate. Net profit then subtracts platform fees, product cost, shipping subsidy, coupons, samples, and return allowance.

If a product only works at a very low commission rate, it may be difficult to attract creators without changing price or cost.

Start with small batches and measure creator quality. High revenue from one creator is less useful if refunds, support issues, or discount pressure destroy contribution margin.

Track profit by creator or campaign where possible.
